Bremen slip-up frustrates Allofs

Director of sport Klaus Allofs was "annoyed" with the way Werder Bremen threw away a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 at Austria Vienna last night.
The Bundesliga side could have moved three points clear at the top of Europa League Group L with a third straight victory, but a second-half collapse let in their hosts for only their second point of the group phase.
"This result is very, very annoying and totally unnecessary," he said. "We have thrown away a game that we had already won easily."
He added: "With it, we have wasted the chance to get qualification from this group wrapped up."
Bremen nevertheless lead the group with seven points, and a win over Vienna at the Weser Stadion in a fortnight would practically guarantee their qualification for the next round.
But goalkeeper Tim Wiese was left wondering why his team mates had stopped playing 15 minutes before the final whistle.
"We have fought from start to finish in recent games and I don't know why we didn't this time," Wiese said.
"I am obviously very annoyed with this game."
