Gibson spot on for Pars

A late penalty from Willie Gibson denied bottom-club Airdrie a vital victory as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dunfermline.
The hosts almost fell behind inside the opening 10 minutes when Andy Dowie's header was tipped around a post by Airdrie goalkeeper Stephen Robertson.
But the First Division strugglers took the lead in spectacular fashion after 24 minutes when Richard Waddell drilled home from 35 yards.
Airdrie looked to have held on for the victory that would have taken them to within five points of second-bottom Ayr until they suffered heartbreak in the dying minutes.
Dunfermline were awarded a penalty three minutes from time when Paul Lovering fouled Steven Bell in the box and Gibson stepped up to place the resulting spot-kick into the bottom-right corner of the net.
