Grady in defensive poser

Morton manager James Grady has a tough decision to make in defence for the visit of Partick Thistle.

Captain Stewart Greacen is available after a two-game ban, but David MacGregor was the midweek goal-hero with the winning strike against Airdrie United in their crunch clash.

Grady said: "David has given me plenty to think about and that is all you can ask players to do when they get their chance in a game. I was delighted to see our guys winning a game through sheer hard effort and by battling away."

Grady has a full squad to pick from and added: "Thistle have been up and down results wise but they have played well so we need to fight for everything again."

Thistle will be missing the injured defensive trio of Martyn Corrigan, Greg Shields and Jackie McNamara.

The Jags have slipped to sixth place in the league having lost six of their last eight games.

Ian Maxwell, who continues to assist Ian McCall in the absence of an assistant manager said: "We have done okay against Morton, having won all three games and a fourth win over them would give us a great lift for the rest of the season."
