Pars hopes nosedive

Queen of the South dented Dunfermline's hopes of catching the top two by recording a 2-0 win at Palmerston Park.
Victory for Dunfermline would have put pressure on Dundee and Inverness at the top, however they were frustrated by Queens and ended the game with 10 men.
Eight yellow cards handed out spoke volumes about a scruffy encounter, although it was the hosts who adapted better.
And they took a deserved lead just before the interval, Robert Harris' inswinging corner finding William McLaren to smash home.
McLaren then turned provider to put his side in control as another corner undid the visitors, this time David Weatherston stealing in for the second.
Dunfermline's miserable afternoon was complete when Joe Cardle was dismissed for violent conduct.
