The sight of Wayne Rooney leaving the Allianz Arena on crutches last night must have sent a shudder down the spine of every Manchester United supporter.
There has been an unspoken fear all season about what life would be like without their 34-goal striker.
Now it could be put to the test depending on the severity of the ankle injury he suffered in the 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
