Morton and Dundee set to influence matters at either end

Morton will again be without full-back Kevin McKinlay and winger Jim McAlister against second-placed Dundee.

The eighth-placed Greenock men head into their fourth meeting of the season against a Dundee side they have yet to take a point from.

However, James Grady's side will scrap for everything as they still need to collect points to ensure they do not get dragged into a relegation dogfight.

But the lack of success against the Dark Blues does not worry Grady, who is sending his side out expecting to beat his one-time club.

He said: "With the players we have in our squad I go into every single game expecting us to win. I genuinely believe that and more and more of the players are getting on board with the same view."

Dundee manager Gordon Chisholm has received mixed team news ahead of the clash.

Chisholm welcomes back Eric Paton after injury but goalkeeper Rab Douglas, central defenders Gary McKenzie and David Cowan and midfielder Paul McHale are ruled out through injury.

The Dundee boss has a crucial decision to make after being impressed by the way substitutes Leigh Griffiths and Pat Clarke came on at Partick Thistle last week and combined to score the game's only goal.

And he is tempted to give both players a starting berth this time out. Chisholm said: "Pat scored within a minute of coming on and Leigh looked really sharp as well so I have plenty of options to sleep on before deciding.

"This is simply a must-win game for us so we need to score at least one goal."
