Airdrie goalkeeper Stephen Robertson remains a doubt for their game with Dunfermline.
Lee Hollis is in line to deputise for Robertson again if he fails a late check.
Defender Bobby Donnelly is back in the squad after a calf injury but Alan Trouten remains sidelined with a hamstring problem.
If the Diamonds win and Ayr defeat Morton, they will finish in eighth place.
Manager Kenny Black said: "A lot of people would have thought turning things around was impossible but credit to the players for standing up to be counted and they have answered a few critics in the best possible way.
"We will be looking to end our season with a win as that guarantees our safety and if we end up in the play-offs we will just get on with things."
Scott Muirhead, Stephen Glass, Graham Bayne, Andy Kirk and Steven McDougall are all on Dunfermline's caualty list.
Greg Ross, Graeme Holmes and Ross Campbell are included despite being told they will be released after the game.
Assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "We are after third spot and want to finish the season on a high.
"Airdrie are playing well just now and all credit to them as they looked dead and buried at one time but they have fought back well. It is always a difficult place to go to but we want a win."
