Djorkaeff joins Domenech detractors
Former France striker Youri Djorkaeff has criticised national coach Raymond Domenech for giving the team "an image of losers".
Djorkaeff, who retired from international football in 2002 after helping Les Bleus to 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 glory, is far from impressed with how preparations are shaping up for South Africa 2010.
"When I see that big brands have advertising campaigns offering to reimburse consumers if Les Bleus win the World Cup, I'm shocked," he told Le Parisien. "It gives us an image of losers. But now, we have a coach who wants to make everyone laugh. Suddenly, it has become a fashion - even the sponsors are there. It is a disaster in communication."
