Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho insists that any manager would welcome a new addition to their squad as the season approaches, but added that any potential signings are in the hands of the club.
Los Blancos have already secured the signings of stars such as Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira, and have today been linked once again with German starlet Mezut Oezil.
However Mourinho, speaking in a press conference, stated that although he would like to bolster his side further, the subject of any extra arrivals is currently being debated by the hierarchy at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mourinho admitted: “No coach would say no to a new signing, but this is an issue that is in the hands of the club.
“The door is open for the entry and exit of players.”
The former Inter and Chelsea coach also hopes that the club's injury woes will ease as the season draws nearer, but commented that in the case of Kaka, the side must learn to function without his presence.
He added: “We have Pepe and [Ezequiel] Garay injured, although we have players like [Ricardo] Carvalho and [Alvaro] Arbeloa to meet those needs.
“We are obliged to dispense with Kaka for the time being, and the team must get used to it.”
