Defenders out for Livi

Livingston will be without defenders Cameron MacDonald and Michael O'Byrne for the visit of Airdrie United.

Full-back MacDonald is out with a facial knock and O'Byrne is missing following his red card at Dumbarton last weekend.

The Lions chalked up their first victory of the season at Strathclyde Homes Stadium last Saturday and manager Gary Bollan is looking for his men to make it two against the Diamonds.

Bollan said: "We did not play well last week but we dug out a result and I am looking for us to now add a home win.

"Airdrie have come back from two goals down in their last two games by sheer hard work and we need to match the effort put in by their youngsters."

Airdrie United are without three key players for their trip.

Defender Jamie Bain and the creative Ryan Wallace are both suspended and winger Gary Muir is missing out through injury.

The young Diamonds squad is fully stretched with interim boss Jimmy Boyle saying: "These three guys would have started the game so we are very thin on the ground.

"It will be a big ask to take anything from Livingston.

"However one thing our squad does not lack is character and they have shown that by coming back from two goals down in the last two games.

"Livingston are quoted as one of the favourites for the Second Division but we will battle for everything all the same."
