Nicholl weighs up options

Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl boss has plenty of options for Sunday's clash with Queen of the South.

Jon Robertson is available for the first time this season, new full-back Richard Vauls is included and attacker Lee Sibanda has sheken off a knock.

Cowdenbeath won 3-1 at Stirling last week and Nicholl wants more of the same.

He said: "The players here have worked incredibly hard and I had been saying to them that all that was missing was a goal. We will take confidence from that and hopefully their hard work will bring them a further return against Queen of the South."

Queen of the South boss Kenny Brannigan is looking for his side's first points of the season at Cowdenbeath.

Winger Willie McLaren commences his league season after suspension and goalkeeper David Hutton, David Lilley and Allan Johnston are available to start.

But defender Craig Reid is suspended, youngster Daniel Carmichael is ruled out through injury and midfielder Rocco Quinn is a major doubt.

Brannigan said: "We need a result to kickstart things at the club. We have had no luck at all so far this season in our games and hopefully things will start going our way at Cowdenbeath."
