A brace from Tom McManus helped Falkirk on their way to a 3-1 win over 10-man Queen of the South at The Falkirk Stadium.
The former Hibernian and Dundee United midfielder opened the scoring in the 15th minute when he converted a Ryan Flynn cross from close range.
Queen of the South drew level in the 66th minute when Paul Burns fired into the top corner from 12 yards but McManus scored his second in the 71st minute from close range to put Falkirk back in front.
Kenny Deuchar added a third for Falkirk before Carl Finnigan was denied a fourth from the penalty spot. Robert Harris was dismissed for deliberate handball but David Hutton saved the spot-kick.
