TEAM NEWS
Ross Wallace could return to Burnley's starting line-up, having been eased back from a hamstring strain as a substitute at Bristol City on Saturday.

Chris McCann is the club's only injured player, with a knee problem.

Hull are hoping that a sickness and diarrhoea bug does not spread through their squad.

Kevin Kilbane and Richard Garcia stayed away from training with the bug, while record signing Jimmy Bullard is a doubt with a back problem.

MATCH PREVIEW
A home victory would have looked a formality prior to last weekend, but two unusual occurrences have put a different complexion on this fixture.

Despite preserving their unbeaten home record with a draw against Bristol City on Saturday, Burnley were left to rue Graham Alexander's first missed penalty in 19 attempts for the club.

Hull ended a less enviable record, earning their first away victory for 18 months at the expense of Norwich. A win at Turf Moor would equal Hull's total of away league points for the whole of last season.

Both clubs were ensconced in the Premier League's relegation zone when they last met, in April. Hull have been slower to readjust in the Championship, but would leapfrog Burnley if they win on Tuesday.
