Stenhousemuir v East Fife - Warriors lack firepower
Posted Saturday, October 02, 2010 by PA
Stenhousemuir manager John Coughlin has a shortage of goalpower as they welcome East Fife to Ochilview.
Scott Dalziel has joined Simon Lynch and Alex Williams on the absent list after picking up a knee injury to leave the Warriors short of a goal threat after trialist Mark Archdeacon left the club.
Goalkeeper Chris McCluskey is also out with an ankle injury with Coughlin, who will promote from the club's youth squad to cover, saying, "We are short of options up front and there are a couple of other players that will need to play despite not being fully fit.
"We will go out battling like we did very successfully against Forfar a couple of weeks ago."
East Fife welcome back striker Bobby Linn from a ban.
It gives New Bayview boss Steven Crawford the happy problem of having a fully-fit and suspension-free squad to choose from.
Crawford is expecting a tough game and said: "Stenhousemuir have the prize of going above us in the league to play for and I am sure John Coughlin will be mentioning that to his players.
"We have to be on our guard as their home form has been good and their win over Forfar a fortnight ago looked really comprehensive.
"We played well at Livingston last week and could have sneaked a win and we will need that level of performance again in this game."
