Adams back on track

I have a say

Dundee welcomed on-loan Jamie Adams back to the club in time to face Dunfermline after a deal was reached with St Johnstone.

The player will continue at Dens Park and he has been added to interim manager Barry Smith's squad for his first home game in charge against the league leaders.

Striker Leigh Griffiths has also been included after shaking off a knock.

Smith said: "I have a detailed dossier on Dunfermline and have seen them play so I have a good idea about what to expect.

"It should be a great game and it would be great if we got the backing of a bigger than normal amount of supporters. The club needs the fans to back them just now."

Dunfermline welcome back defenders Neil McGregor and Austin McCann for the trip.

The duo are still absent while Jack Ross and Alex Burke remain out with knocks and Nicky Phinn is rated as a doubt.

Dunfermline kept their place at the top of the First Division last week with a late winner against Ross County and they are looking to build on that high right from kick off at Dundee.

Assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "Being top means that every game you play becomes that bit tougher so we need to be ready from the off against Dundee.

"They still have a very good squad but it is up to us to go out and win the game but we know it will be difficult especially in the circumstances."
