Dumbarton's newly-appointed manager Alan Adamson is hoping to come out on top in the battle of the new bosses as he welcomes East Fife under the guidance of John Robertson for the first time.
Speedy forward Derek Carcary continues to be absent for the Sons, however Allan McManus, who was appointed first-team coach in the reshuffle at Strathclyde Homes Stadium this week, will be in the centre of the home defence.
Adamson said: "We have not been doing well and hopefully we can get going again against East Fife.
"It has been a hectic week but training on Thursday was upbeat. I will be looking to freshen things up a bit and I suppose that John Robertson will be doing the same."
East Fife's new boss John Robertson has four players struggling to be available with John Ovenstone, Lloyd Young, Stewart Murdoch and David Muir all battling to be fit.
Stevie Crawford, who was in charge of first-team affairs until Monday and remains at the club as a player, is not being considered for the match with a move out on loan being mooted for the striker.
Robertson said: "This will be my first step in trying to move the club forward. I will be looking for a win and their new manager will be looking for a win so it should be an exciting contest.
"I am delighted to be back in management and I am out to improve the results at East Fife."
