Athletico Madrid sit in a tie for second place on four points, while Rosenborg are only one point behind in a tight Group B race for qualification.

Defending Champions Athletico had a slow start to group stage play but picked up their first win in Matchday three when they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Rosenborg.

They will enter this game without Uruguayan international defender Diego Godin who scored in Athletico's 3-0 victory during Matchday three.

Godin has been ruled out for a month with appendicitis. Godin's Uruguay teammate and World Cup Golden Ball winner Diego Forlan will feature for Madrid, and will be opening to open his goal scoring account in Group B.

Rosenborg will be high on confidence having wrapped up the Norwegian league title since Matchday three.

Rosenborg are also looking to continue a six game unbeaten home streak in European competition.

Powerful Swedish forward Rade Prica scored the goal that wrapped up the league title and will be a threat to Athletico in this game.
