Estonia 1-1 Liechtenstein: Minnows Cancel Each Other Out In Freezing Tallinn

A small crowd of around 500 brave souls decided to brace temperatures as low as -10 Celsius in the Le Coq Arena in the Estonian capital of Tallinn as Estonia and Liechtenstein played out a 1-1 draw.
Although the home side began brightly, the Liechtenstein defence generally held firm and they almost opened the scoring when young prospect David Hasler failed to find the net after being free on the edge of the box.
Liechtenstein then took a shock lead after 35 minutes. Excellent build-up play between the aforementioned Hasler and Mario Frick left the latter one-on-one with Estonian 'keeper Londak and the wily veteran made no mistake to fire his side ahead. It was his 17th goal for his country in 98 appearances.
After the break, the Estonians managed to score an equaliser three minutes before the hour with Konstantin Vassiljev netted his seventh international goal against the run of play as his shot gave Peter Jehle no chance.
Young midfielder Siim Luts almost snatched the winner on his Estonian debut but he hit the crossbar from ten yards out as the visitors breathed a huge sigh of relief and held on for a rare draw.
