The saga revolving around Walter Zenga replacing Rafael Benitez as Inter tactician has grown legs after he was sacked from his position as Al-Nassr coach.
According to Goal.com Saudi Arabia, the 50-year-old is in the running to take over from the Spaniard, after he was exonerated from his position earlier this week.
The Nerazzurri are reportedly also in discussions with several other candidates, including former Milan boss Leonardo.
Zenga has previously coached in Italy, having been in charge of Silician sides Catania and Palermo before moving to the Saudi Arabian club.
Zenga has previously admitted to his willingness and want to coach the Nerazzurri in the future, revealing he would not turn down a move should it arrive.
The former goalkeeper played 328 games for the Beneamata between 1982-1994, having won a Scudetto and two UEFA Cups during his time at the club.
