Stenhousemuir striker Alex Williams is missing through suspension and fellow frontman Simon Lynch remains sidelined through injury for new manager David Irons' debut at home to Alloa.

Goalkeeper Chris McCluskey and striker Scott Dalziel are included after lengthy spells out with Irons not going into the game totally unprepared.

Irons said: "It is funny how things work out, I was helping Threave out before they played Stenhousemuir in the Cup and saw them play Alloa.

"Now I will taking Alloa on in a league game as Stenhousemuir manager.

"Allan Maitland has his side as well organised as ever and they have dangerous forwards but I am looking forward to seeing how my team gets on against them."

Alloa are set to be without injured duo Mark Brown and Brown Ferguson.

After letting leads slip in their last two matches, boss Allan Maitland is determined there will be no repeat.

He said: "The Airdrie game still rankles as we lost two goals late on and ended up losing a game we had won.

"However, on reflection the draw with Livingston was the right result and my players probably deserve credit for their part in a great game.

"Stenhousemuir will get a lift from David Irons being on board but if we get in front I expect us to stay in front this time."
