Dumbarton include Pat Walker in their squad to face Alloa after the former Albion Rovers and Annan striker agreed a permanent deal until the end of the season following his three game trial period.

Alan Cook and Craig McLeish are both doubts for the match after picking up knocks when the bottom of the league Sons went down to an injury time goal against Stenhousemuir at the weekend.

Interim boss Alan Adamson is out to lift his squad saying: "We were all really disappointed at the loss of such a late goal especially as we were on top at that stage.

"We did not deserve to be beaten and hopefully that sense of injustice will have us fired up for Alloa."

Alloa have midfielder Brown Ferguson ruled out and a doubt over striker Stuart Noble for what manager Allan Maitland has labelled as a must win game following Saturday's home defeat to Ayr United.

The Wasps have not beaten Dumbarton in four attempts and Maitland is determined to put that right and get the club's promotion push going again saying: "This is a have to win game for us as we need to pick up maximum points in our away games after a disappointing run at home.

"Dumbarton have turned into a bogey team for us and a defeat from them hurt us really badly in the latter stages of the league last season. We have a few reasons for wanting to win this game."
