Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has urged his players to keep their feet firmly on the ground ahead of their Serie A match at Bologna.

The Eternal City giants followed their 3-0 win over Cagliari with a 2-0 triumph at Ranieri's former club Juventus on Thursday to reach the last four of the Coppa Italia.

Roma will meet Inter Milan in the two-legged semi-final in April.

In the meantime, the Giallorossi will have the added motivation of knowing that a win on Sunday could see them climb above Napoli into second in Serie A, provided they succeed at Bologna and the Naples outfit lose to Sampdoria.

Roma lie third in Serie A, just two points behind Napoli.

"I complimented my players because they did a great job in Turin," Ranieri said. "We showed great determination to win away from home and without our fans.

"We did our duty which was to progress to the next round without conceding a goal.

"For a while now the team is in good form and we are trying to improve on the road.

"But now we have to think about the match at Bologna, which will be another test for my players.

"We have to continue on this path without getting too carried away by our results of late."

Roma will have to keep a close eye on Bologna striker Marco Di Vaio.

Di Vaio struck twice in his team's 3-1 triumph over Lazio last weekend to increase his goal tally to 13 this season.

The result allowed Bologna to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat at Inter in the previous round and lifted the Rossoblu to 13th in the standings, six points clear of the drop zone.

The Rome-born Di Vaio has warned Sunday's rivals he is hungry for more goals.

"I scored twice against Lazio and now I have to score three against Roma," said the former Lazio star. "It's better to score against Roma than it is against Lazio."

Bologna coach Alberto Malesani will be without striker Henry Gimenez, who serves his first of a two-match ban.
