Zaragoza vs Racing Santander preview - Aguirre warns in-form Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza head into Saturday's Primera Division match against Racing Santander on the back of a three-game winning run but coach Javier Aguirre has urged his side not to start thinking they are safe just yet.

Four wins in their last five matches have moved Zaragoza out of the relegation zone to the relative safety of 15th place in La Liga.

However, the Aragonese outfit are still just four points clear of the drop zone, and Aguirre knows nothing has been achieved just yet.

"We have to go for it because if we do not we will suffer," said the Mexican. "We must play as if we were at the bottom of the standings.

"Racing is a team that is going to make things difficult. It is part of our league that we must fight every inch of every game.

"February is again a very important month for us."

Recent signing Paulo Cesar da Silva could make his debut, while Ikechukwu Uche is available again after a long spell on the sidelines.

Miguel Angel Portugal's Racing head into the encounter in 17th spot - one point worse off than their hosts - and will be looking to get some daylight between themselves and the bottom three by halting Zaragoza's winning run.

The Cantabrian club have struggled for goals all season, but will be hoping that changes following the signing of Giovani dos Santos, who has joined on loan from Tottenham to boost the team's forward options.

"I know that this is a great opportunity for me and I intend to take advantage," the Mexico forward said.

Giovani is in line to make his debut at Zaragoza - a club that was also keen on signing him and which is coached by his former Mexico boss Aguirre.

Oscar Serrano is sidelined with a long-term injury and Papakouly Diop is also set to miss out, while Medhi Lacen is suspended.
