Hercules CF vs Zaragoza Preview: No let-up for Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza defender Matteo Contini has urged his side not to become complacent following their recent revival, warning that things can change around quickly.

Zaragoza have been rooted to the bottom of the standings for much of the season but they have climbed up to 12th place after winning four of their last seven games whilst losing just once.

However, despite that improved form, Javier Aguirre's side are still only two points above the drop zone heading into this weekend's match at Hercules, and Contini knows they cannot rest on their laurels.

He said: "We've done well, but there's still a long way to go and looking at the fixture list we still have to play Barcelona, Real Madrid and other teams at the top...every game is vital.

"The mood in the dressing room is happier than before, of course, but we know that if we lose one or two games we will drop back down.

"We cannot relax, now we need to keep our concentration. We know that if January was very important to get closer to the teams ahead of us, February is very important to open a little gap or to get into a healthier position in the table," he added in AS.

Zaragoza are one point and three places above opponents Hercules, who have slumped down the standings after losing their last four matches.

However, in striker David Trezeguet they have one of the leading scorers in the division with the Frenchman having netted nine times in 19 games so far.

Contini said of the former Juventus striker: "With a player like that, if you fall asleep for an instant he will score. You cannot get distracted at all."
