Dunfermline will be without midfielder Steven Bell for the home clash with great rivals Falkirk, and manager Jim McIntyre is keeping his opponents guessing over his line-up.

A win for the Pars would send them top of the First Division table, and McIntyre said: "Martin Hardie came on for the last 15 minutes of our game at Cowdenbeath at the weekend and did really well during that time.

"He set up a goal and is in my thoughts for a starting place."

McIntyre is asking his men to rise to the occasion, adding: "This is always a huge game and we have the chance to top of the table.

"However, Falkirk are going well just now so we need to be at our best."

Falkirk welcome back defender Brian McLean for the clash after a one-match ban, but midfielder Mark Millar misses out following his red card against Morton.

Bairns boss Steven Pressley is tempted to bring in fit-again former Dunfermline striker Tam McManus after a four-month absence through injury.

Pressley said: "Tam has looked incredibly sharp in training and this may just be the type of game he would relish."

He added: "Our win over Morton on Saturday was left late but it was deserved and has set things up really nicely for this one.

"It should be a cracking game and one that Falkirk players would love to win for our fans that will no doubt travel through in good numbers."M
