Lyon vs Nancy preview - Aulas warns against complacency

Chairman Jean-Michel Aulas was delighted by Lyon's derby win at St Etienne last weekend, but has warned his side they must renew their focus ahead of Friday night's visit of Nancy.
The victory over Les Verts, courtesy of a Bafetimbi Gomis effort, a Moustapha Bayal own goal, and further strikes from Michel Bastos and Jimmy Briand, left Claude Puel's side fifth in the Ligue 1 table, seven points behind leaders Lille.
Puel's men face a huge test next week when they look to repeat last season's Champions League achievement of knocking Real Madrid out in the last 16.
Tuesday's home leg is likely to have a major impact on whether Lyon can eliminate Jose Mourinho's side, but Aulas insists they must focus on the task in hand against struggling Nancy.
"We have a good team, the players gave their all in the derby," he said.
"They had the necessary physical impact which enabled them to get back into the game. We have been playing for the title since the start of the season and we are sticking at it.
"This win gives us great pleasure and will do good for the players morale.
"I try to be pragmatic in our progress, things are looking good but we have to think short term and focus on the match against Nancy."
Despite Aulas' demands for a win, Puel is set to rest several first-team regulars as he looks ahead to their European tie.
Nancy currently lie 14th in the standings, but midfielder Marama Vahirua is adamant his side can get something against their more illustrious hosts.
"I like this kind of game, especially in our current situation," he told the club website.
"We will have our chances and I think we can achieve something."
