Brechin are without defender Dougie Hill for the visit of league leaders Livingston following his red card at East Fife on Saturday.

However, full-back Paul McLean returns from a one-game ban.

Long-term absentee Charlie King remains sidelined as the Glebe Park men look to finally give Livingston a contest, with manager Jim Weir explaining: "We have only lost two league games and they were both against Livingston.

"In both games we haven`t done ourselves justice and we will be going out to put that right.

"Picking up three points from this game would make the chase for the Second Division very interesting indeed, but we will need everyone to be at their best as Livingston have been in fine form recently."

Livingston boss Gary Bollan will be without full-back Jason Talbot through suspension and Cameron MacDonald (hamstring) because of injury for the trip.

Talbot was sent off against Stenhousemuir at the weekend.

Keaghan Jacobs will undergo a fitness test before he can be included.

Livi are looking for a seventh consecutive league win and know three points would put them a massive 14 points clear of the side that are currently their closest challengers.

But former Brechin player Bollan said: "I would imagine this will a real tough game on a very heavy pitch.

"Brechin City will no doubt be fired up to win and cut our lead back a bit be we will be as determined for the three points."
