Dundee will look to make it 22 league games unbeaten by seeing off Cowdenbeath at Dens Park.

However manager Barry Smith has selection worries as striker Sean Higgins has been ruled out with defender Rhys Weston and midfielder Stephen O'Donnell both struggling with knocks.

Trialist Jake Hyde, who scored in midweek, will be included again.

Smith said: "Jake is a Lochee United player and if they give us clearance to play him he will be involved.

"Cowdenbeath need the three points just as much as we do. Jimmy Nicholl has them well organised and they are a difficult side to break down so we need to be at our best to take anything."

Cowdenbeath have a number of injury concerns.

Joe Mbu has joined Dene Droudge and Danny Mackay on the sidelines with John Armstrong, Bob Malcolm and Colin Cameron all facing fitness tests to determine if they can be involved.

The Blue Brazil were the last side to defeat the Dens Park side some six months ago and manager Jimmy Nicholl would be delighted to repeat the feat.

He said: "As well as beating Dundee we gave them a really tough game at our place recently and could have snatched a draw.

"Hopefully the players will take confidence from these two games and go out and get something in this one. We lost bad goals to Morton in midweek but played well so we can go to Dens Park with our heads up."
