Cagliari travel north to face Genoa hoping to avoid a late-season slump.

The Sardinian outfit have suffered two defeats in a row, losing 2-1 at Napoli and then crashing to a 4-0 defeat to Udinese.

Both Genoa and Cagliari are in mid-table, level on 39 points and 11 clear of the bottom three.

However, with eight rounds still to play, Cagliari coach Roberto Donadoni and his players will not be comfortable with their league position until they have secured Serie A football for another campaign.

"The team is very determined to get as many points as possible in our remaining eight games," Cagliari defender Lorenzo Ariaudo said.

"We have struggled in recent games but we have had two weeks to prepare for the clash at Genoa and we know we have to go out and play our game.

"Sunday's match is important for us and we must give our all to bring home a good result."

Genoa, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna in their previous game, have collected 10 of a possible 12 points in their past four games in Genoa.

Griffoni striker Antonio Floro Flores is confident his team can keep up their good run of form at home.

"I think it will be a beautiful game against Cagliari," he said. "They will come out for the win just as we will.

"But it's never easy to take points away from Genoa."

Cagliari will be without midfielder Daniele Conti, who serves a one-match ban.
