Zaragoza vs Getafe preview - Rios reveals fears over form

Getafe midfielder Pedro Rios admits his side are a little concerned by their dramatic loss of form but is viewing the clash at fellow strugglers Real Zaragoza as a potential turning point in their fight to avoid the drop.

From being a side challenging for a European berth at the turn of the year, Getafe have now been sucked down into the relegation dogfight after earning just eight points from a possible 42 in 2011, winning just one game.

Michel's men were down in 15th place, five points above the bottom three going into the Sunday fixture programme, and another defeat at La Romareda could set the alarm bells ringing loud and clear, especially with games against Real Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla still to come.

Rios said: "We are a little worried. We know that with the matches remaining things can become complicated, but we know that we're capable of getting out of this and that we aren't in a last-chance situation.

"At the moment we know we're running a risk if things continue as they have been, but we're calm, we know that if we win one game everything will change.

"The match against Zaragoza is not decisive, but it could be an important turning point. If we win it will put seven points between us and, with the matches remaining, it will be very difficult for them to catch us. It could be an important game."

Zaragoza go into the game having lost three of their last four games, but all of those defeats came away from home and at La Romareda they have claimed impressive victories over high-flying Athletic Bilbao and Valencia in their last two matches.

Defender Paulo Da Silva believes their home form could prove vital over the coming weeks, saying: "The key to survival is winning our four games at home. If we can do that, we won't have to worry about what the other teams do."
