LIVERPOOL are set to win the battle for Blackpool star Charlie Adam.
Scot Charlie Adam, 25, is understood to favour a move to Kenny Dalglish’s club in the summer, when he will have only one year left on his contract at Bloomfield Road.
A proposed move to Liverpool collapsed in January, when he was also a target for Tottenham and Aston Villa.
The talented Adam has also been eyed by Everton and has been watched by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Whether Blackpool survive relegation from the Premier League or not, the midfielder will leave in the summer.
And Adam has always fancied playing under his fellow countryman Dalglish, who has inspired a Liverpool revival since taking over from Roy Hodgson.
Adam’s standing in the game has risen dramatically in the last two seasons.
He was Blackpool’s best player when they won promotion from the Championship – and has confirmed his Premier League quality in this campaign, despite being involved in a relegation battle.
Adam signed for the Seasiders from Scottish side Rangers in 2009 after a successful loan spell with the Lancashire club.
He was also nominated for the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award and Dalglish will have to fork out around £12million in order to land him.
