Queen of the South welcome back Stephen McKenna to their squad after suspension for the match against Ross County.

However, Craig Reid drops out following his red card at the weekend for the game which is being played at Stirling Albion's Dunblane Double Tree Stadium following two floodlight failures at Palmerston Park.

Rocco Quinn could return to the Doonhamers starting line-up after a substitute appearance on Saturday following his hamstring injury, however Ryan McGuffie drops out with an ankle knock with David Weatherston and Daniel Orsi both ruled out as well.

Dumfries manager Kenny Brannigan said: "Ross County were deservedly in front last week but we played a lot better against Cowdenbeath on Saturday.

"It will be good to get this game over and get back to normality again."

Ross County captain Richard Brittain is available after suspension.

Darren McCormack remains out and manager Jimmy Calderwood is waiting on news of midfielder Paul Lawson's fitness before naming his side.

The Dingwall team will be looking to repeat last week's performance against the Dumfries men when they were two ahead with 25 minutes to play if they are to move three points ahead of Cowdenbeath in the race to avoid the drop.

Calderwood said: "We need to bring our performance from last week into this game and to do that we need to start better than we did against Dundee on Saturday.

"Saturday's first half was disappointing but the second half was lot better."
