Drogba's Stamford bride

CHELSEA stars will have something to celebrate this summer no matter what happens at Old Trafford tomorrow - DIDIER DROGBA's wedding.

The Blues striker is tying the knot again with sweetheart LALLA DIAKITE in the south of France in June or July.

His best pals at Chelsea will be munching vol-au-vents alongside friends and family at the ceremony, which should cheer them up even if they don't beat Manchester United in tomorrow's crunch match.

Ivory Coast team-mates KOLO and YAYA TOURE plus Arsenal loon EMMANUEL EBOUE have also been invited. Eboué should be great value at a wedding - if he doesn't shove anyone over just before the end.

Didier met Lalla in Paris when he was trying to make his name as a pro. They had a tiny wedding back in the day but now he's got a few bob, the striker wants to do things properly.

The ceremony is not going to be a stereotypical WAG bash though.

A source said: "Didier isn't interested in celebrity magazine deals or needless expense.

"He just wants a private wedding with his closest friends and family. He wants to give Lalla the wedding of her dreams because they couldn't afford much when they got together as youngsters in France."

Their three kids will be heavily involved and it's going to be a real family celebration. It will be interesting to see if Didier lays on a wedding singer. If he does, he's unlikely to turn to any of his Chelsea team-mates - especially new signing DAVID LUIZ.

When the Brazilian did his Chelsea initiation song in front of players and coaching staff, the training ground windows took a battering.

Kitman GARRY GREY said: "David went for this Brazilian number and it was the worst performance ever.

"You could hear his claps more than his voice and he was just trying to get on with it.

"David is a confident lad but he wasn't comfortable standing up on that chair.

"In the end, MICHAEL ESSIEN had had enough and got up and did a really over-the-top African-style dance in front of everyone."

Hopefully the Ghanaian will remain seated during the vows.
