I have a say

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has not ruled out the possibility that coach Delio Rossi will remain at the helm next season.

The Sicilians host Chievo in their final Serie A game of the campaign with Rossi's future up in the air.

Rossi was reinstated at Palermo in April, less than two months after being dismissed by Zamparini.

Since his return, Palermo have won four of their last five league games and have reached their first Coppa Italia final since 1979.

"With Delio Rossi there is no feeling [between us]," Zamparini said. "But that's not to say that he will leave this summer.

"We will talk about the future once the season is over and see if we can reach an agreement."

In the meantime, Palermo's focus will be on the Coppa Italia final against Inter Milan on May 29 in Rome.

"We face an historic game against Inter," said Palermo midfielder Ezequiel Munoz.

"It's like a dream for us and we all want to bring great joy to our fans and our city."

Rossi is expected to rest some of his usual first-team starters against Chievo in view of next weekend's final.

The Sicilians will nevertheless be looking to end the Serie A campaign on a high note.

The Rosanero won 2-1 at Sampdoria in the last round to climb to eighth in the standings.

Not since a 7-0 humiliation at the hands of Udinese on February 27 have Palermo lost at La Favorita.

Chievo, meanwhile, travel to Sicily with nothing to play for except pride.

The men from Verona lie 15th in the standings having collected 43 points from 37 games.

Stefano Pioli's men will be eager to make amends for last weekend's 2-0 loss at the hands of Udinese.

"I think my players have given 200% in the previous games and they are showing signs of tiredness," Pioli said. "We will try to finish the season with dignity.

"But it will not be easy against a Palermo side that plays well at home."

The game could be Pioli's last in charge of Chievo, with the 45-year-old currently holding talks with Roma.
