Spurs head for another crisis as Dwson consider his future

SPURS are spiralling towards another crisis - with Michael Dawson the second big-name star considering his future.
The defender is understood to be furious with club supremo Daniel Levy after only being offered a "derisory" pay rise - despite breaking into the England squad.
An insider said: "Michael feels under-valued. He's been offered a derisory pay rise by Levy. He feels he's really proved his worth to the club and become one of their most important players - yet this is how they reward him."
Even with the extra money - around £5,000 a week - Dawson would be earning less than £40,000 a week, far less than other experienced stars.
The Dawson crisis comes just as Spurs are facing a bitter battle with wantaway midfielder Luka Modric, who has already accused Levy of reneging on a gentleman's agreement to let him leave.
As reported in yesterday's Sun, Chelsea have already made an offer worth £27million for the Croatian star, who may now slap in a transfer request.
Dawson, 27, has made more than 200 appearances for Spurs since signing from Nottingham Forest in 2005.
He broke into the England squad last year and won his fourth cap in the Euro qualifier against Wales in March.
Dawson signed a new five-year deal with Tottenham in January 2010.
He has spoken to the club in recent months about a new deal. But the offer on the table means he could end up following Modric out of the door.
