BOAT COMES IN ... George Boateng celebrates a rare but crucial winner against Leicester

GEORGE BOATENG sealed a late point for Nottingham Forest as the battle of the ex-England managers ended in a draw.

Sven Goran Eriksson's Leicester were 2-0 up after goals from David Nugent and Gelson Fernandes.

But Forest, under the stewardship of Steve McClaren, stormed back in the final 10 minutes.

Matt Mills' handball allowed Lewis McGugan to pull one back from the spot.

City keeper Kasper Schmeichel was dismissed for two separate displays of dissent either side of the goal.

And former Holland international Boateng netted in the fourth minute of added time to stun the Foxes.

Peterborough thumped Ipswich 7-1 in the Championship's late match at London Road.

Keith Andrews puts Town ahead but Darren Ferguson's men romped back with four goals before the break and three after.

Lee Tomlin scored a hat-trick while Paul Taylor and Grant McCann both hit doubles.

Derby put three goals past struggling Doncaster at Pride Park to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.

The Rams were comfortable winners with Kevin Kilbane scoring early on and Steve and Ben Davies adding further goals after the break.

Southampton's perfect record also remained intact as they beat Millwall 1-0 thanks to Guly Do Prado's 18th-minute strike.

Brighton's hopes of doing the same were ended by a Kevin Phillips brace as Blackpool came from behind to draw 2-2 at the Amex Stadium.

Craig Mackail-Smith and Ashley Barnes put Brighton ahead, only for Phillips to peg them back.

Crystal Palace won their first game on the road since October last year at Hull.

Tigers defender James Chester put through his own goal in a 1-0 win for Dougie Freedman's side.

Elsewhere, Robert Earnshaw cancelled out Charlie Austin's opener as Cardiff drew 1-1 at Burnley.

Barnsley picked up their first win of the season with an eventful 2-1 success at Reading, who missed two of three penalties.

Steve Foster's header gave Keith Hill's men the lead, before Reading twice missed from the spot in quick succession.

Jay McEvely conceded both penalties with fouls on Jimmy Kebe and Hal Robson-Kanu.

But keeper Luke Steele came to his rescue saving from Ian Harte and Noel Hunt.

Matty Done then made the duo pay as he doubled Barnsley's lead with 22 minutes left.

Hunt was fouled by Rob Edwards in the box, allowing Robson-Kanu to make it third time lucky from the spot.

Bristol City drew 0-0 with Portsmouth at Ashton Gate with Neil Kilkenny having a goal disallowed.

Coventry and Watford also ended goalless.
