Dumbarton look set to give debuts to on-loan pair Dominic Kennedy and Ross McKinnon when Cowdenbeath visit.

The experienced Ryan Borris remains out with a groin problem, though.

Manager Alan Adamson is hoping to tighten up the Second Division's most porous defence, saying: "We are the third-highest scorers in the league but the worst defensively.

"You do not need to be a genius to work out where we need to change things, so Dominic and Ross may well get their chance to show what they can do.

"Cowdenbeath are a good side particularly from the middle to the front, so we have to ensure we keep things tight, while not losing any of our attacking edge."

Cowdenbeath will again be missing the injured trio of Dene Droughe, Danny Mackay and Mark Ramsay.

Manager Colin Cameron admitted he was in a quandary with what to do tactically for this fixture.

"Dumbarton are a bit like us in that they score a lot of goals but lose too many for their managers liking," he said.

"Everyone expects a lot of goals in this game but I would be quite happy to sneak a 1-0 win and head home with the three points.

"I have still to decide whether to go there and play it really tight and blunt their threat, or go for it in our usual style and let them worry about our forward players."
