Carlos Tevez’s English ‘dodge’
Posted Thursday, September 22, 2011 by The Sun
SOCCER ace Carlos Tevez avoided a motoring offence — because he can't read English.
Manchester City's Argentinian striker admitted speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone in February.
But the charge of failing to reveal who was driving his £140,000 Bentley was dropped when his lawyers argued he could not have understood the summons.
His lawyer Gwyn Lewis told magistrates in Oldham: "He does not deal with his own post."
Tevez, 27 — who has been living in England since 2006 — was fined £60 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and costs of £35.
