Morton manager Allan Moore is waiting on news of the fitness of defender Andy Graham and midfielder Michael Tidser before finalising his side for the match against high-flying Falkirk.

Graham has a poisoned toe and Tidser is suffering from a knee problem, and both will be assessed closer to kick-off. However, Moore does welcome back full-back Kevin McCann to his squad.

Moore's men were beaten 4-1 at Queen of the South last Saturday and the Cappielow boss is looking for a much better performance this time out, saying: "I have been fair to the boys as it was the first time this season that they have not played.

"We went back to the drawing board and went over a few things and I am sure they will put on a much improved showing against Falkirk."

Falkirk add Stewart Murdoch and Kallum Higginbotham to the squad that defeated Rangers 3-2 in midweek.

Stephen Kingsley remains out, but Blair Alston is available to start after shaking off an injury that restricted him to a substitute role against the Ibrox men.

The Bairns have been told to take the momentum from their recent success over the Scottish giants into the weekend fixture, with manager Steven Pressley saying: "We need to put the League Cup on a back-burner and concentrate on Morton, however we should take confidence from the result and performance against Rangers into this game.

"I have a nice selection problem as Stewart and Kallum were doing well before they were suspended and it is great to have them available again."
