Released ... Titus Bramble leaves police station after being held in a cell overnight
SOCCER ace Titus Bramble was thrown in a police cell yesterday over an alleged sex attack and possession of a Class A drug.
The Sunderland defender, whose rapist brother is in jail, was arrested after a club's singles night in Yarm, North Yorks.
The football star is accused of sexually assaulting a girl in a taxi.
He was held at a police station for 15 hours before being freed on bail last night.
Bramble, 30, climbed into a cab with a girl at 2.30am yesterday after the singles night.
But on the journey to his home the cabbie became so concerned by his alleged behaviour he drove to the nearest nick. Cops arrested the central defender on suspicion of sexual assault.
And when they searched him they found a substance they suspected was a Class A drug.
Bramble was held in a cell overnight and faced a grilling yesterday. His alleged victim was also interviewed.
