Despite doubts about Pep Guardiola's stay at Barcelona, defender Gerard Pique is confident the Catalan will sign a new deal with the La Liga giants.
With Guardiola's current deal running out at the end of this season, there is fear that the Catalan could be lured by the siren call of Inter Milan, who have been reported to be keenly interested in snapping up the 40-year-old from the Nou Camp.
Speaking to El Mundo Deportivo, however, Pique appeared untroubled by worries that his manager could be lured elsewhere.
"I don't want to put any pressure on Guardiola," the Spanish World Cup winner shrugged. "He will do things at his own tempo, like he has done every year.
"He has always signed a new deal, though, and I believe he'll do so again this year.
"He loves his job here and the players belief in him. I think this team is the best in history and should never be broken up. Pep doesn't have any reason to leave the club", Pique concluded.
Guardiola has led Barcelona since 2008 after taking over from Frank Rijkaard.
