WAYNE Rooney celebrated his birthday last night — with TWO of the Manchester City stars who inflicted a humiliating 6-1 defeat on the Red Devils just hours earlier.

The Man United striker turns 26 today but marked the event last night at his favourite Chinese restaurant, Wings, in the city centre.

And onlookers were stunned when Man City's Joe Hart and Gareth Barry turned up.

One fan said: "I did a double-take when I saw the City lads walk in. But it shows what a great sport Wayne is to party the night away with his arch-rivals — especially after they gave United such a hammering.

"We were half expecting the doormen to turn them away."

Joe, 25, was accompanied by his girlfriend Kimberly Crew and Gareth, 30, was with wife Louise.

Wayne's missus Coleen, 25, carried two bags of presents when she arrived in a red doily-style dress.

England striker Peter Crouch turned up with new wife Abbey, who was dressed to thrill in a mini-skirt and leopard-print Louboutins.

Wayne hired the entire restaurant for the evening and guests tucked into a banquet before singing karaoke. A United source said: "To be honest, he looked a bit miserable at first but I guess that's hardly surprising after getting stuffed like that.

"But he soon livened up. Everybody was having a great time as the night went on. The place was buzzing."
