Napoli defender Christian Maggio insists his side will not be distracted by their Champions League game with Bayern Munich when they visit Catania.

The Naples team travel to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday to face the Bundesliga giants, with top spot in Group A up for grabs.

Despite the obvious attraction of next week's clash, Maggio believes his side's only focus right now is on the domestic front.

"We are not thinking about the game at Bayern," Maggio said.

"In this club we take one game at a time and right now our only focus is on Saturday's game at Catania.

"Once that game is over, we will turn our attention to the Champions League."

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri will expect his side to carry on from where they left off in the midweek triumph over Udinese.

Having lost at Parma and drawn at Cagliari, Napoli returned to winning ways with a 2-0 success on Wednesday.

The result marked Udinese's first defeat of the campaign while it lifted Napoli to fourth place, level on 14 points with AC Milan.

Catania go into the encounter at the Angelo Massimino stadium on the back of Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Lazio.

The result followed their 2-2 draw at Fiorentina and extended their unbeaten run to five games.

The Sicilians are ninth in the standings and have yet to lose at home this season.

Catania coach Vincenzo Montella has urged his players to keep up the good work.

"We played two great games at Fiorentina and against Lazio and we deserved much more than we got," Montella said. "We just have to keep doing what we are doing and eventually we will be rewarded for our efforts."

The hosts are without injured Pablo Ledesma, Ciro Capuano, Pablo Alvarez, Ezequiel Llama, Marco Biagianti and David Suazo.
