AC Milan vs Catania preview - Legrottaglie looks for upset on San Siro return

Catania defender Nicola Legrottaglie is confident his team can make life difficult for AC Milan when the two sides meet at the San Siro on Sunday.

Milan have won their last four league games while the Sicilian outfit are unbeaten in six matches and lie just three points behind the Rossoneri, who are fourth.

Catania have held Juventus and Lazio to 1-1 draws and have also claimed two big scalps by beating Inter Milan and Napoli last month.

"We always play to get a result," Legrottaglie said. "Hence, it will not be an easy game for Milan but obviously they will be favourites.

"But we have nothing to lose and we know that this game is difficult but we are aware of our own strength.

"We have already faced big tests this season and we have passed them with flying colours."

Legrottaglie is looking forward to returning to the San Siro for the first time since leaving Milan this summer.

The veteran defender joined Catania on a free transfer after spending six months with the Rossoneri.

"I have great memories of my time in Milan," he said. "I am very happy to return to the San Siro and to see my former team-mates."

Milan go into the encounter on the back of a 1-1 draw at Bate Borisov in midweek, that allowed the Rossoneri to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The Rossoneri went into that game rocked by the news that striker Antonio Cassano has a heart related problem.

Cassano underwent a minor heart procedure on Thursday and will be sidelined until the new year.

The Rossoneri are also without suspended striker Kevin-Prince Boateng for the game.
