Stirling Albion vs Arbroath preview - Reidford poised for comeback

Bottom side Stirling Albion will add goalkeeper Callum Reidford to their squad for the visit of high-flying Arbroath.

Reidford is available for the first time since knee surgery two months ago, but full-back Shaun Dillon has been ruled out with and ankle knock and the game has come too soon for Greig MacDonald, who continues to struggle with an Achilles injury.

Manager Jocky Scott, whose side lost 4-2 last time the two sides met, said: "We were doing very well at Gayfield and were winning 2-1 before a penalty was awarded against us and we had a man sent off.

"That changed the game, but we know that we can compete with Arbroath and the players will be up for it."

Arbroath welcome fit again striker Jordan Elfverson back to their squad as they bid to take over at the top of the table.

Should leaders Cowdenbeath slip up against Stenhousemuir, Arbroath can take advantage, but player/manager Paul Sheerin remains sidelined following knee surgery.

Sheerin has warned his side they will be facing highly-motivated opposition.

He said: "They gave us a really tough game earlier in the season and lost in what would have been disappointing circumstances for them.

"They will be out to make amends this time out and the players have been told what to expect.

"They will also want to win to get off bottom spot, so Stirling will be very dangerous opponents as far as I'm concerned."
