'Burglar' ... Mario Balotelli
COPS found a "burglar" taking electrical goods from Mario Balotelli's home was — the soccer star himself.
The madcap Manchester City striker had returned with a pal to collect items from the fire-damaged £3million pad.
But security-conscious neighbours failed to recognise him and called the police — thinking the home was being ransacked.
Officers dashed to the house in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire, and established the "culprit" was Italian star Mario, 21.
A source said: "The report was of two men running down a road carrying stuff and loading up a 4x4."
Mario has been living elsewhere since pals sparked a blaze by setting off fireworks in his bathroom last month. It is believed he returned to collect electrical goods such as TVs.
