Kean: I’ll never quit Blackburn

STEVE KEAN insists he will never walk away from Blackburn no matter how bad things get.
The Rovers chief's neck is on the block as his team face a massive local derby with Bolton tonight.
Fans have been calling for the Scot to go for much of his 12-month reign and the pressure is also piling up on Owen Coyle, whose Bolton side are bottom of the Premier League.
The Ewood Park board are due to meet tomorrow but Kean insisted: "I will not walk away because I believe I can turn it around.
"I don't think the club would be better off without me. The lads are 100 per cent with me. I think that shows in their play."
Tonight's derby is billed as D-day for both Kean and fellow Scot Coyle.
But the Rovers chief said: "I can understand why that can be written. All I can do is prepare the team to win.
"Then express to you as honestly as I can, as I always do, that my conversations with the owners continue to be positive."
Former boss Mark Hughes would be the fans' choice to return to Ewood Park if Kean's unhappy spell in charge ends this week.
Over at the Reebok, Coyle is also under massive pressure before the big game tonight.
He said: "In terms of my own situation, whatever is going to happen will happen.
"I try to work with a smile on my face, although it is difficult at this time because we are not getting the results we should be.
"But what I do know is by going and winning points you can turn opinions about you around very quickly."
