Ayr Utd. vs Ross County preview - Armstrong on lengthy injury list

Ayr United teenager Gareth Armstrong has joined the already lengthy injury list at Somerset Park ahead of their game against leaders Ross County.
The Honest Men are again without John Robertson, Martyn Campbell, Alan Trouten and Sean Higgins as they look to build on the 3-1 success they had over Livingston at the weekend that lifted them off bottom spot.
Manager Brian Reid said, "We have been going well recently, and lost only one in six but it is important to turn draws into wins. We did that against Livingston and it would be great to do that against Ross County."
"We did well to get a point up there a week last Saturday and my players deserve great credit for how they are battling away with a depleted squad."
Ross County defender Marc Fitzpatrick is the only absentee for the Dingwall men as they travel to Ayr United looking to turn a game in hand into a three-point lead over second-placed Falkirk.
County boss Derek Adams is an admirer of the way that the only part-time side in the league have gone about their business as he explained, "A win and three points is our target but achieving it will be tough as Brian Reid has his players doing a great job for him just now."
"They played well in our recent meeting and bounced back from losing to Partick last Tuesday with a very good win over Livingston. They are very strong at home and we will need to play well to take anything."
