Hughes brands FA talk of goal line technology as 'laughable'

Mark Hughes has attacked the FA’s claim that they want to implement goal line technology as soon as possible as laughable.
The Queens Park Rangers boss was speaking after his side’s 2-1 defeat against Bolton, a game which
saw a legitimate goal by Clint Hill ruled out after the match officials failed to see it cross the line.
And Hughes angrily branded the performance of referee Martin Atkinson and his assistants as unforgivable.
“Somebody is telling me that the FA has come out and said that they are all for goal line technology but it does nothing for our situation,” Hughes said.
“Once again they are just covering themselves because they realise the amount of criticism that they will get following the performance of the officials that they supply.
“Today the performance of the officials was unforgivable, and for the FA to come out and state that they’re all for goal line technology after a really crucial game for everybody today is laughable.
“At the end of the day don’t hide behind statements that you come out with within an hour of a key Premier League game. Just accept that the officials that you supply have had a really bad day in the office.”
