John Terry: Don’t read my lips - Trial bid to ban lip-reading flops
Posted Saturday, March 17, 2012 by The Sun
A BATTLE by John Terry to outlaw lip-reading evidence ahead of his looming trial for alleged racist abuse has flopped, The Sun can reveal.
The soccer ace's high-priced legal team argued at a hastily-arranged court hearing it would be unfair because the case against him revolves around a single word — "black".
Chelsea superstar Terry was captured on TV allegedly calling QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, 27, a "f****** black c***" in a game last October. Clips were uploaded to YouTube, where they were seen worldwide.
